People often dismiss golf as a boring sport, mainly because a round takes 3 hours and it isn't exactly enthralling to watch. However, since the beginning of videogames Golf has been a sport which has been easy to transfer to console. NES Open, released in 1990 on the NES, is as playable today as many Playstation or Dreamcast games. But Everybody's Golf 2 takes golf, throws it through the 'fun' machine, and ends up with a great product. Everbody's Golf 2 does not use real golfers for its game, simply because it doesn't need to. I walked down my road a couple of weeks ago, and bumped into my mate Gareth. I said to him, 'i've just bought a new game for my PlayStation', he replied 'have you, what one?'. 'Everybody's Golf 2' i replied back. He laughed. And laughed, And laughed. 'Dan, its golf, how can you buy a golf game?' This was my take on the golf gaming genre until this game. I asked him to come and play it back at my house, just to prove him wrong. I knew this game would prove him wrong. Gareth came back to my house and we played on Everybody's Golf 2. By time it was time for him to go, he didn't want to leave. ... Read the complete review

The second game is a typical sequel, adding new features, courses and improved graphics. And while all this is great, and perfectly normal for a sequel its hard not to feel that this just never quite re-captures the fun and originality of the first. For those of you who dont know the game, the premise is simple. You pick a character from a selection, initially limited, but new characters are added in a beat em up style Vs. mode (you beat the character and you can use him). However, dont expect to find any Tiger Woods types here, the ... Read the complete review

I know what you are thinking, golf, in a game, fun? But, surprisingly yes it is! A drasticly improved game from it's predecessor two years ago, you are now able to play on a 9 hole par 3 amonst other features. There are now 10 more characters to unlock and you start off with 3. A new great feature is the career mode where you start off at the bottom of the ladder and after winning competions and points, you can become a professional etc. Prizes for winning cometitions include: Golf balls, golf clubs, backgrounds, tropheys, caddies and lots more. The balls and clubs you win make a difference to the way you play and you are able to pick from the collections. This game ... Read the complete review
