There was a curious spurt of game releases after the turn of the millenium that were based around fairly old films - Robocop and The Italian Job are a couple that spring to mind, and also this - Evil Dead: Hail to the King, a PSOne survival-horror game based around the hit B-Movie horror series of the 1980's. Well, being partially based on a film and with character, weaponry and enemy blueprints already drawn up thanks to the movies, you'd expect Heavy Iron Studios (the developers) to turn their attentions to the quality of the game playing experience. There have been many rumours about a fourth film to the series, but this is unlikely, as the last film didn’t do too well at the box office. For those fans of the Evil Dead series eager for more, Evil Dead – Hail To The King will provide all of the entertainment that they could ever want. ** Game Blurb ** “Strap on your chainsaw, crack open your necronomicon and come get some, baby! Ash, the square-jawed insult-spewing shotgun-toting, chainsaw-armed hero from the cult classic Evil Dead Trilogy is here! Our hero finds himself slicing and dicing unspeakable atrocities spawned by the book of the dead, and in true Evil Dead fashion, Ash must ... Read the complete review

Hail to the king! (Two Disc Adventure) That right the evil is back again and more horrid than ever. I don’t know if many of you remember this Game in the movies. It was once a film that was banned due to the natural of graphical horror shown and there were rumours that people who saw the film suffered from a heart attack. (GUYS DON’T BELIEVE IT) I’ve only had this game for about a week and I must say it is quite addictive! HISTORY OF THE STORY ------------------------------------ There was three-film release for this movie and is very important to know as the game carries on from there. The Evil Dead ... Seeing as I am new to Dooyoo and this is my first opinion, I thought I’d start by telling you about this great game I have for the playstation. Evil Dead is great. Imagine the scene – an isolated cottage, the sound of a chainsaw gunning into life. Outside, the moan of undead creatures, creeping ever closer, groaning and oozing all over the place. You, an armed all-round zombie-slashing good guy, need to cut through the hordes of putrefying flesh to locate the missing parts of the depraved tome. Only then, after so much blood-letting, will you have chance to get the girl and save the planet. But the in between bits are the best – the blood. So much ... Read the complete review
