Advantages: It will last you a while, it is more than worth its money.

Disadvantages: Be prepared to lose most of your social life for the next 6 months, when you have finished it you'll want more and more.

I purchased a copy of Final Fantasy 7 at Christmas 1999, since then I have hardly stopped playing it. It is one of the most absorbing, socail draining games ever, I read that there was over 120 hours of gameplay, from my experience it was more like 220.

The game is based on Cloud Strife, a Messanary type caracter, who ventures into a world of magic and mystery, and when I say mystery I mean it as the game has more twists and turns than a corkscrew. There are 7 characters in total that you eventually get to control, and all have different abilities. To go into this side of the game would take for ever, so I'll jusy say that you won't be disapointed with the amount of fighting abilities you can use, from magic to weaponry.

All in all this is by far the best game I have ever played, FF8 and FF9 are out now so I can kiss goodbye to the rest of my life (well at least a year or so). In my opinion you should go out and buy this game NOW you will not be disappointed, trust me.
