Advantages: Much better than F1 '99

Disadvantages: No map and no pit stops on short races

I would like to to tell you that this game is a truly excellent Formula One racing game. The best one out there to date. But unfortunately I can't. The reason I can't, is because there is no map of the track on the screen while you are racing. Maybe the the arrows do help a bit, but when you're used to seeing a map on the screen, you don't really realize how much you miss it until it is gone (or something strange like that).
Pretty much all other EA sports racing games have included a map, even Nascar 2000 which has oval tracks includes an on-screen map to view while racing.
The only other complaint I had is that pitstops are not available in the 4 or 8 lap races. Not everyone likes to do a 16 lap race for a 1/2 an hour, and a pit stop option would have been good. Because of this I will rarely ever get a chance to pit on F1 2000. Again, I didn't understand why Nascar 2000 allows you to pit on low lap races but not this one.
Other than that, this is one excellent game for your private collection.

The handling of the cars is very good, the car setup screen allows you to change the settings of your vehicle to all kinds of situations on the tracks and for your own personal preference.
The graphics are good by todays standards of Playstaion, but I have seen better graphics from 1999 games also. I would have liked a little more detail on the car too. My favourite part about the graphics is when you go in the dirt your tires turn brownish and eventually wear off and turn black again when you get back on the tarmac. It is far better than Formula One 99 in the graphics department.

I enjoyed F1 2000, There are more features to the game that you didn't mention. Other modes like single race/two player/what types of set-up,is it easy to navigate etc. I'm sorry to see you didn't have time for longer games so you can use pit stops, I usally do the full race, much more enjoyable. I've just finished F1 2001, Opinion coming some.
