... want but unfortuantley you dont get a reply) The graphics do not let the game down as during the fights between wanzers , the game goes into extreme close up and shows combat between the enemies , following the trail of a missile as it hits a target is always fun to watch. Loading times can be a bit annoying when loading up the battlefield but the gameplay more than makes up for it plus you can go into network mode and practise battles and gain more experience and money from doing this. The sound is basic really a...more

Front Mission 3 (PS): Front Mission 3 - an honest review (1154 words)

Most people checking out Front Mission 3 won't have heard of the series before. Looking for the previous two episodes will also be a pretty fruitless task - they were only ever released in Japan. But that doesn't mean that there isn't any point in trying this title - if you don't, you're missing out on what is possibly the Playstation's finest hour of strategy. Front Mission 3 is about mechs. To the Japanese, they're a way of life - to the rest of the world they're 'those huge Japanese robots that fight a lot in the Manga videos'. Set in the near future, the world is still a fairly violent place but boundaries have ...  Read the complete review

Enter Front Mission 3 , a genre of game that only really exists in japan as it seems that the rest of the western world is not interested in big robots with bigger guns blasting even bigger enemies in a turn based combat kinda way which i think is fun personally. The plot is set in futuristic Japan in 2112 and you take the role of seemingly innocent but short tempered character Kazuki Takemura who works for Kirishima industries as a "Wanzer" test pilot , wanzers being the name of the big mechs that you control throughout the game. You and the in game friend , Ryogo Husama , do a routine delivery to a the Yokosuka base but witness a large explosion in ...  Read the complete review

Front Mission 3 (PS): Turn Based Mech Warrior (176 words)

The one thing you have to rembember about this game is that it is turn based. But I like it, it means that you get a greater playability length and the turn based games are cheaper. The great thing about this game is the open-ness. Like in all great mech games you can tune your mech to an optimum level. You cnchange the arms legs body head and customize the weapons to your choice. This game also has an intranet(closed internet) This allows you to send and recieve e-mails and unlock secret weapons. This game does almost everything right. Turn Based games normally get incredibly difficult past a certain point but this is not, if you ...  Read the complete review

Spend time at it (118 words)

The first time that I played this game I had only rented it and as a result I didn’t get to spend a lot of time playing it. This is the type of game that you have to keep playing for a while in order to get “hooked”. But when you do, as I did when I later borrowed it from a friend, you will find it hard to stop playing it until you have it finished. With two different story lines you will spend ages trying to complete them both. The controls are easy enough to master and the graphics are pretty good as well. It is a must have for any playstation owner ...  Read the complete review

Front Mission 3 (PS): Deja vu? (106 words)

have you ever played vandal hearts for the playstation? it rocks! it is so mint! but why mention it? you ask. well, front mission 3 is built on its structure and should be condemned for it. but this doesn't mean its bad. on the contrary, it's longer than v h, it's got a few more advantage, not mentioning the fact you use what can only be described as mech warriors cleverly disguised and called wanzers, hee hee. this game is for those of us who like shooting things with huge guns, but beware its addictive and can get repetitive. but overall its still mint!  Read the complete review
