... fell a little short of the mark. The only major difference was the ability to play this version with the analouge controller and although at the time this was a big deal, just playing it now you can see how unresponsive the analouge was compared to games nowadays. Once again you can play in Exhibition arcade races til the cows come home with tons of cars and and tracks to play but the real meat of this game is the career mode. Being able to pass you're racing license and then going on to start your own garage of ca...more

Gran Turismo 2 Personally I wouldn't say that Gran Turismo 2 is better than Gran Turismo 1. The graphics are still quite bad but it is a play station 1 game. The structure of the main menu is exactly the same as the previous Gran Turismo. When I play this game using Analog the reaction time is so bad. This game is a classic. Although if we didn't have the old games like this we wouldn't have the new games like Gran Turismo 4 with outstanding graphics. The arcade mode is quite good but if you want to play for money then you have to play the game in career mode. Yet, out of all the Crash Bandicoots and Syphon Filters that Sony has so far offered, stood out, Gran Turismo... The smell of rubber is finally added, through the use of rubbing the GT mode disk. Now it's in two disks, with over 600 cars, several new dirt tracks, even more difficult tests, and realism that - while adding to the experience - never hinders the game's fun factor... So what can go wrong? Well, to say that Gran Turismo 2 is ...

This is my favourite game of all time! There really is no game like this. You can end up playing it for hours on end, just trying to get money to buy a car to win a race to buy a car to win a race etc. This game explodes with longevity; you can literally play it for years. I got my copy when it was first released and I still play it (but that I lost one of the two discs, which gives me a little problem with finishing the game). The game comes on two discs - disc one is the arcade mode, disc two is simulation. It's best to start off and finish the arcade part first (it is far easier to start off with believe me), although you do need to get ...
