I am a great fan of GT and of GT2 but the GT2 was not as good as I expected. If you have never owned a Gran Turismo game then you need to know the idea of the game, you complete your liscences so you are allowed to race then with your 10,000 credits by a cheap car, race it and get high positions and when you have enough money you can tune it or buy another faster more powerful one. I got Gran Turismo 2 when it first came out because it was selling so quickly. It was created by Polyphony Digital. It is the follow up from Gran Turismo which was the greatest racing game thee was when it first came out with great graphics, game play and with plenty to do. Big things were expected of the follow up but in my eyes it wasn't as good as it was all cracked up to be. The game has over 600 cars from the top 33 manufactures on the world, but still no Lambogini and Ferrari, it has 28 courses including the famous Leguna Seca. You can also race your mates in arcade mode tune your cars that you purchase. There are circuit, road and rally races. In Gran Turismo 2 the makers tried to make it so you could have body damage if you crash (like TOCA) but it didn't work the car looks the same when you crash and you cant steer. If you want a game with great graphics and gameplay get this or TOCA World Touring Cars which for me is better by far. If you have a different opinion then you choose GT but you will probably be disappointed. For just 10 pound extra you can get TOCA or wait till it goes platinum and get it for the same price. GT2 is still a great game but there is better. If you do not have an opinion by now read this again because it is obvious.
