After the success of the original GTA they brought out a version set in 1969 London, with all old types of cars and buses along with some very "Itallian Job" style missions many wondered wether it was a worthy sequel. The answer is a yes and a no, Theres no doubt that game is brilliant and a lot of fun to play but it's not really a sequel, more an alternate version and much was different but not much had evolved in this effort. When this add on came out, I really wanted to buy it, but I never got round to doing it. Thanks God I didn't. Recently, freeloader.com, have allowed users to download it for free, and this saved me a valuable 20 quid. The game is essentially the same as the normal GTA, even though the blurb of the game is always trying to convince you that they recreated the London of the 60's, however it just looks like any other GTA level just with different cars and characters speaking English!!! I must admit the game is fun, and the levels rather entertaining, but on the long run, there aren't that many missions, and once you get the hang of the game, ...

This game is a mission disk, if you don't have the first GTA game you can't play GTA:London 1969. As this is only a mission pack it means you get a whole load of new levels, missions and cars, it's also very cheap as well. The graphics are just what you would come to expect from the GTA series, an overhead view with basic graphics. Graphics aren't everything though. This game more than makes up for the weak graphics with the hilarious missions and game play. All the landmarks of London are in here and you can easily find your way around until you get flagged down by the local bobby! All the retro cars are in here, even the union jack ...
