Grandia Review ......................... Overview: Basicly, in a nut shell Grandia is amasing. It is one of the best RPG's I have ever played, I personally rate it above games like FF7, some don't but I do. The story line is brilliant, the battle system is extremely effective, the characters are easy to get a feel for, magic spells and attacks are beautiful etc. This game really is amasing. The quest is hugh, about 60-70 hrs long across 3 different world maps. Hugh, Playable, Addictive and Enjoyable all in one, an excellent RPG. Story: The story begins with a young, immature adolesent (Justin, the Maincharacter) praying to go on an ... Read the complete review

Those who have read my profile may have noticed me calling Grandia the finest game ever. Whilst this claim my ultimately be well over the top, it is true that this is a painfully neglected game in a country where RPG means Final Fantasy. So neglected, in fact, that it very quickly turned up in the bargin bins just a month or so after release. The games premise is pretty much typical RPG fare. You play Justin, a a young rouge who chills around his home town killing time with his best friend Sue and her bizzare pet Puffy. Justin, as with most RPG characters, dreams of following his fathers footsteps as a great adventurer, and unsurprisingly one day gets his ... Read the complete review

I got the disk out of the box and placed it in the machine, I turned on the Playstation and flicked through the various developer screens before hitting the menu. I started a new game, I was instant appalled by the way you have to move the camera around and the pure size of the first town you start in. I instantly turned the machine off after playing around 5 minutes but later was persuaded to give it another try as I was told that the towns get smaller and you get used to the camera angles. The game starts with an animation sequence in which a flying machine is beginning to land at a then unknown location. The people on board are part of the Garlyle army and are General ... ===INTRODUCTION=== Grandia is arguebly one of the most definitive RPG games to ever be released on the epic Sony Playstation console. Possessing an aura of uniqueness, combined with a beautifullly written story and truly glorious graphics and musical score, it should come as no surprise that Grandia stands as one of my personal all-time favorite RPG Games. Grandia is the first game in the series and is a traditional role-playing game which was originally developed for the Sega Saturn in 1997, yet was later remade for the Sony Playstation in early 2000. Since it first emerged on the Playstation, it has earned much acclaim and fame as being one of the ... Read the complete review

Aren’t nice surprises great? They certainly give Christmases and Birthdays a bit extra, that’s for sure. Anyway, birthdays and surprises link in neatly with my acquisition of PSOne R.P.G Grandia. For my 13th birthday, I went to Chester to empty my (parents) pockets and after scanning the shelves of GAME, I came across little-known role-playing title Grandia. I had a look at the box-art; nothing remarkable, and the screenshots on the back of the case were hardly what you would describe as divine polygon festivals. Recent reviews had been of the good-not-great kind and to cap it off, the game was £15 second-hand – not particularly cheap even in ... Read the complete review
