Advantages: all round great game
Disadvantages: bad multiplayer options
Half Life is a first person shooter game.
It uses the same engine that was used to create the Quake games. This is brilliant because the Quake engine is one of the best engines for creating FPS games with. It has the best movement and controls and more realistic effects.
You are a normal worker underground in a scientific facility. You are researching portals when one day in the 'office' everything goes wrong and aliens are spread throughout the facility.
You are one of the only people alive and must find your way out of the nightmare.
You have a variety of weapons that you will find and use to kill your enemies. There are a number of puzzles for you to complete to move to different areas of the game.
The only unfortunate thing about half-life on the PS is that there is no multiplayer game like there is on the PC. The multiplayer game is so much better because you fight against other human players. Human intelligence is so much better and harder to fight against than computer AI.
Summary: always a pleasure to play
