Having recently embarked on another mini-quest to play a few of the more notable PSOne games that had slipped by me first time around, I happened across Hard Edge; a long forgotten though nonetheless intriguing title. Released in 1999 and developed by Sunsoft, Hard Edge is an action game that mixes and matches ideas from a variety of previous titles to make for a game that is tricky to accurately categorize. If you can imagine Resident Evil's gameplay mechanics crossed with a Die Hard-esque plot of 'terrorists in tall buildings' and throw in some wacky anime-styled protagonists, you're somewhere close.
