Advantages: good graphics and a good game

Disadvantages: none

You are an operative in the claustrophobic, terminally ill city of Optimism, more commonly known as Misplaced Optimism. This city is the last of the crater clusters on the barren, mined out moon of Titan. You must scan comms channels for salvage or sabotage jobs always aim to better your reputation, gain credit, earn cash to enhance your Moth, which is your only asset and your final objective is to escape.

At the beginning of the game the only thing that you own is your moth. A moth is a type of transport, which can have different set-ups. Moths can be configured and adapted to suit the way you want to play the game.
The moth set-up that you begin the game with will depend on which role you persue. There are three set-ups to choose from;
* Trader - this configuration gives you a larger storage unit and an auto-docker, which makes docking and entering hangers a lot easier.

* Scavenger - this set-up gives you a small storage unit, but also a scavenger droid, which collects items that can be scavenged from the surface of Titan.
* Aggressor - the aggressor configuration gives you improved shields and more firepower is at you disposal.

There are also other differences between the systems of the moth you begin with. These will be to do with your radar, and sensors etc.
The configuration of your moth can be changed at any time by going to the appropriate hanger and paying for the changes.
Your moth runs on an energy source, which gradually runs done as you move around the city or fire a weapon that is energy based, such as your lasers. But luckily all moths are solar powered, so they will slowly charge up during the day, but sometimes you need a fast re-charge, lightwells are situated around the city. They emit a powerful light, which when you hover beneath it you recharge faster, they are also useful when you need charged up at night or during a dogfight.

You earn money from trading, scavenging and eliminating dangerous criminals or members from rival gangs. This money can be used to purchase upgrades in weapons or improved systems for your moth. As the moth you start with is quite basic. Another good purchase is a hanger to call your own, as it offers you place to go (and hide if necessary), free repairs to your moth and also you can use it to trade or repair other peoples moths, for a fee of course.
During the game you receive messages which can be important or rubbish such as junk mail. You have to progress through the game until you finally escape from Titan, the worst place in the universe.

The game itself is a very well thought of game, and the developers have done a very fine job. They have created a huge map of a 3D real-time city, in which the inhabitants go about their daily business.
The graphics in the game are very detailed, although there are a few glitches now and again. But the graphics can't compare to the games of today, . The game itself ran on my computer very smoothly, at the highest detail level and resolution. My computer was above the recommended requirements for it so here are the recommended requirements:

* MS Windows 95 or above
* 200 Mhz pentium processor
* 32 Mbytes of RAM
* 3D graphics accelerator card supporting directX5 or above
* 4X CD-ROM
* 60 Mbytes hard disk space
* A game pad or joystick is useful but optional.
Personally I like this game, as it is different to most other space flight Sims. And therefore I recommend it to all other computer owners, who seek a new experience in gaming. I purchased my copy of it from game in the vicinity of my place of dwelling. It cost me a small price of £9.99 that was about 4-5 years ago, so you should be able to get it for about £5.00. Which will be a fiver well spent, as you will get many hours of gaming out of it.

Summary: good old game
