I haven't been writing on dooyoo much recently, this is due to all my hard work on the farm. Each day i wake up at 6.00am, water the crops, feed the hens, cows and sheep and then in the evening i try to pull the fittest girl in the village. Well not exactly but for a few hours a week this is my life, on Harvest moon Back to Nature. Your "mission" is to rebuild your grandfathers farm into its former glory by growing crops and raising a wide variety of livestock. All this brings in all needed money to expand your farm into the ultimate farming land. But this is not all, you must befriend the villagers and find the ... Read the complete review

I?ve always been a big fan of the Harvest Moon series, despite having only previously played The One That Started It All - I?m talking, of course, about the first appearance of Farmy and his big tools on the Super Nintendo, where there were no rivals ready and willing to steal away your five potential wives who overall had one personality (read: None), time didn?t progress beyond 6 PM unless you went to bed, and chopping up your various livestock didn?t make them unhappy. Spawning a few sequels (or whatever you?d like to call it) on the GameBoy, as well as the ever-popular Harvest Moon 64, it seemed this unusual sim - in which you played a farmer (for now, ... For the past month I have gone to bed dreaming of turnips and potatoes. I dash home in the evenings to check on my animals. I milk my cows, sheer my sheep and lovingly collect the eggs my chickens have laid. I can't sleep until I have brushed my horse and hugged my dog. However, it's not all work. I have a hectic social life, I chat to the villagers, attend festivals and enter competitions. I fish, I dig in the mine and I've even developed a love of cooking. This is now my life. Welcome my friends, to the addictive world of Harvest Moon, Back to Nature. In very general terms, Harvest Moon is a quirky farming simulation (bear with me). To give you a ... Maybe I've finally cracked up completely, but I could never have imagined singing the praises of a farming game and dubbing one of the most truly special games to grace the PlayStation a few months back. But that's exactly what I'm going to do. A cute, wacky Japanese title, Harvest Moon basically places you in control of a young man who has inherited a farm from his late grandfather. The farm is empty; it's becoming overgrown with weeds and it's your job to gradually turn a small sum of money into a successful and prosperous farm. Still reading? HARVEST MOON BACK TO NATURE - PLAYSTATION ONE ---------------------------------------------- If there has been one game that has changed the way I look at games, then this is the one. I always thought that a farming game would be about as much fun as going to the dentist. So imagine my surprise when I stumbled across the Harvest Moon series of games, well in an instant I was hooked, I've since tried almost all of the series, and have found this one to be the most engrossing. The harvest moon series originated in Japan, in 1997 on Nintendo's Snes console. It has since spawn a fair few sequels, mostly on Nintendos other ... Read the complete review
