Advantages: Simple to play

Disadvantages: No depth

Back in the classic era of arcade games like Space Invaders etc there was a gam that came along a little after that called Infestation. This is the remake of that game, made into a 3D version. Basically the whole place has been taken over by aliens and it's down to one group of fighters to keep the planet afloat. Just your basic shoot em up here as you battle through around 22 levels that can get a little repetitive after a while.

Gameplay - Pretty good, it's easy to control your character and it's a very simple configuration of shoot and jump basically , it's a tried and tested formula and it works here quite well.

Graphics - Smooth would be the best compliment I could give the presentation, although it doesn't stand out from other games it's definitely passable and as PSX games go this is one of the better looking ones that can still look ok nowadays.

Sound - Not much to note here, just some annoying little background music but you can always turn it off.

Overall - Infestation is not a game i'd recommend per say but if you're looking for a shooter that you can stick on for 5 or 10 mins to kill time then this is the one , not a lot to get wrapped up in though.

Summary: An ok shooter
