There are two ways to play IIS Pro Evolution 2. One, you play cups and leagues until you are a living god and then challenge your mates to a game after a “few jars” or you take on the far more in depth world of their super league and risk loosing friends, partners and family for good was you pour months of your life into this game. Frankly, it’s THAT good.

You might be wondering why a “simple” football game is so engaging, but is the key to IIS Pro’s appeal. Ignoring the stunning graphics and the impressive sound, the thing that stands out here more than anything else is the sheer gameplay .. from the minute you pick up the controller, you will find that you can master basic passing, shooting (of course) and dribbling of the ball. Tackling is accurate from the start, not the hit and miss affair that you get in a lot of games – you can take a man down in you want to and easily get yourself red carded, but with a little finesse you will soon find that not every tackle need end in a bone crunching injury for one player and a sending off for the other. In your first few games, you’ll probably get trounced (I did), but after that you’ll soon find yourself able to hold your own.

At this stage, you would expect a lot of games to loose their appeal, but not IIS Pro. This is when IIS Pro lets you pull of an overhead kick. You stand amazed for a second .. you watch the replay .. you think “That was me..”. This is where the jaw dropping graphics and subtle (yet brilliant) sounds come into play. You here “It’s that kind of thing that really shows his class as a player” from the in game commentator ..

Now you want to play AGAIN. The more you play this game the more hidden tricks, set plays and gems you will find. This gameplay keeps me going back to IIS Pro Evo 2 time and again. Football, the beautiful game, has never been so playable for those of us with two left feet
