If you had ever played Jedi Knight or Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight then when the announcement of Jedi Knight II's release was made public you would have been rolling around in your own dribble ;-). When Jedi Knight I was released in mid 97 it was a revolution to the 1st person gaming world when compared to the current stock of 1st person games. Games like Quake 1 + 2 were unoriginal, standard games that didn't really go anywhere and the only real interesting part would be how big the rocket launcher was. Jedi Knight on the otherhand had an amazing storyline and intricate level design that was both involving and frustrating as hell, which is what made it ... Read the complete review

"Jedi Outcast : Jedi Knight II" is the latest offering from games stable Raven Software, a "Star Wars" themed first person shooter based on the "Quake III" engine. Raven have achieved great things in the past with the Q3 engine - notably their superb "Star Trek" themed shooter "Star Trek Voyager : Elite Force", which attracted a cult following thanks to excellent mapping and superb weapons balance. "Elite Force" did come in for some criticism for a rather short single-player experience, but proved to be a superb multiplayer game - it made its contemporary release "Quake 3 : Team ... When you look at the title of the game anybody with the slightest knowledge of computer games is going to be somewhat weary about Jedi Knight II. That's because it's published by Lucasarts; a name that is infamous for churning out what is considered to be below par software titles. That's why I was really hoping that JKII was going to break the trend. To my surprise, it not only broke the trend; it shattered it! JKII is a plot based First-Person shooter cum 3rd Person action/adventure game. The story revolves around a character named Kyle Katarn who is known throughout the galactic republic for being one of only two survivors of the incident that ... Read the complete review

Jedi Knight Dark Forces II Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II is a computer game the follows Dark Forces I. This game comes from the movie trio "Star Wars". This game is one of the best game avalable on the gamming market today. I will evaluate this game on a few criteria. The criteria are game options, sound, graphics, realism, playing options, difficulty, and compare the game v.s. the movies. You play Kyle Katarn, the mercenary hero form Dark Forces I who successfully infiltrated the Empire. Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II continues the story of Katarn as he embarks on a quest into his past and learns the mysterious ways of the Jedi.Your father has been murdered by ... Recently, many Star Wars games have fallen short of the quality expected by fans of the series. Games such as the abysmal Force Commander and the very average Galactic Battlegrounds did not do justice to the amazing environment and atmosphere present in the films - well 3 of them anyway! Jedi Knight 2 though, seems to be recapturing the magic in the same way that Episode 2 looks likely to do. The game is not based on any of the films, and story is unique to the game, and follows on from 1997’s Jedi Knight. You take control of Kyle Katarn, who now works for the Republic o reconnaissance missions. He has given up his Jedi powers because he does not trust ... Read the complete review
