Advantages: amazing graphics, great lightsaber combat with force powers, great story line and 1 player levels but also great multiplayer functions

Disadvantages: heavy system needs, nothing revolutionary but hay who cares!!

I’ve just finished the game and I have to say it was extreamly enjoyable. Althought the idea of the game is very similar to the original jedi knight its been presented in a new way that makes it just that little bit better (if its possible). The first thing you’ll notice is of chourse the amazing strength of the graphics provided by the quake III team arean engine. They are needless to say amazing, if you wack up all the settings (if your computer can take it!) then the modles and levels are smooth and beautiful, your light saber even leaves cut marks in the walls if you walk to close!!

The force powers are similar to the first jedi knight but this time they have been cut back and been made easyier to use. Jump is no longer bound to a different key buy activated by holding onto your default jump button for longer and effectivly flying throught the air. Another great feature of jumping is the ability to run up walls to a ceratin extent and back flips side flips and back/side flips off of walls. All this add to the fun of light saber combat which itself has been revamped. Now instead of random hacks your lightsaber strikes are determind on which directions you push, push forward and right with attack and you do a diagonal upwards slash to the right, push forward and attack and you do a powerful downwards strike. Mixed withforce speed slowing everything down matrix style it means dispensing enemies with the lightsaber is as easy as if you were a real jedi.

One of its downfalls I found is I tend to use the lightsaber all the time once I get it and forget about all the other weapons. Althought on the whole they are all well made and balanced and all stick to the star wars theme, its just the lightsaber is so dam fun!

Last but not least is multiplayer, being based on a famed multiplayer only game engine makes multiplayer just as good as quake III if not better! New game modes envolving lightsaber combat with jedi’s on jediR
17;s and the ability to limit peoples force powers and weapons etc server side means that multiplayers is fun and easy to take up making the game even more worth those coins you call money.
