Advantages: Easy for anyone to play

Disadvantages: Not for the easily frustrated!

Well, I still don't have a proper, hard copy of this game! I have downloaded it on PS3 format as I still really don't want to pay full price for it! On ebay the cheapest I've found it (Buy it Now) is £19.99 and the cheapest I've seen on Amazon is £34.99. If you're interested the most expensive was on Amazon for £55.00 and if you weren't interested then unlucky! Now you know anyway!

So what's it all about? Kula World is an infuriatingly simple game of bounce the ball and exit the level before time runs out. It's a 3d platform based puzzle game (got that bit off wikipedia couldn't think of a way to describe it). Yes, it sounds simple but I have never in my life been so angry at a beach ball! Each level is timed by a sand timer and most levels have a sand timer as a collectable item. Don't pick it up unless you're running out of time because if you've only been playing the level for 10 seconds, you end up flipping your timer and end up with 10 seconds left to get out! So this can be your best friend or your worst enemy.

The main items you need to pick up are keys. There maybe more than one key to collect but once you have it you can leave the level. There are other items to collect like coins and fruit (collect enough fruit and you unlock bonus levels), and other little gems and treasures. You collect points for collecting these items but points are also taken away if you get spiked or end up jumping off the edge of the level - massive frustration because you KNOW you didn't mean to do that but the angle of the level had you totally confused! I think you also get three chances. There's only so much puncture repair a beach ball can take!

It has a great 90s kind of look to it, especially on the bonus levels (the two I have managed to play so far!!) and even though the graphics aren't amazing but it's a game full of great colours and all about simplicity. It also has a gret soundtrack, nice and chilled out in the background and simple sound effects.

I have never completed this game. After reading through what it says on wikipedia about the game I'd really like to seeing as there are so many more ways to destroy your ball. And in vain I will keep trying but I will be SO surprised if I ever do finish it!

Not a game for those with a short temper or those with neck problems (don't be surprised if at times you find yourself with your head at an almost 180 degree angle to your neck!) And even though it's over ten years old it hasn't lost any of its appeal.

Summary: Fun time filler
