An excellent follow on game from the first LMA Manager!,this game has given me loads of great gaming action.
Since its inception in 1999,codemasters take on the beautiful game won that has over many fans,including many of my friends including myself,thanks to its eye friendly presentation and simple navigation; something managment games are not exactly renowned for.
Now donning its oversized sheepskin coat for a return fixture.
Opening up the preceedings,a tantilising video sequence of intricately detailed characters displays all the stresses and strains of managment.
It's clear for all to see:at the end of the day,a good result is all that matters.
Either as a lone manager or playing against a friend,you have the choice of managing any of the current english and scottish league teams in either the challenge or full game mode.
Challenge mode offers a series of scripted tasks to complete,each being of varied length.
You set the difficultly depending on the team you choose,although you can only choose from the one approriate divistion.
For example ,where you have three crucial games left to win the treble,its way easier using a top team rather than a lower rated team.
Full game mode sees each taem having a realistic goal to achieve by the end of the season,whether it's taking your team to the european stage or helping your team aviod the drop.
With the destiny of the chosen club firmly in your hands,your in a position to hire and fire staff.
Keeping the current staff on at the club ,employing new staff or taking on their tasks on yourself,there's plenty of involvment to suit even the most dedicated work-a-holics.
Particuarly impressive is the detail of the scout's report on a player.
For several weeks you'll get feedback and analysis of that players performance,temperment and willingness to leave the club.
As in the previous LMA Manager game,the wealth of information is presented clearly and
effectivly.
There arent many points you can fault LMA Manager 2001 on,most are easily over-ruled by the multitude of positive aspects that make this an essential purchase for managment gurus nationwide.
