Thus far the football management games have gone as follows. The PC game market has been overloaded with in depth titles that are internet compatible, offer many leagues around Europe to choose from and have very realistic gameplay. The console market has Premier Manager in all of its terrible brevity. That was until the day that Codemasters released LMA Manager. To ensure that FIFA playing masses were happy an official licence has been signed up by the developers. This is the League Managers Association, hence LMA. All the players are in here from Colchester United to Chelsea from Mansfield to Manchester United. They have also got the players from Europe ... Read the complete review

For whatever reason, managerial games are usually looked at as inferior sporting games by the general demographic of gamers. Why? Well, the argument by many is that you do not actually do anything except click a few buttons here and there, and hey presto, that is the game in general. This is ignorance. Managerial games are in fact the most tactical games you are ever likely to play, bar a few classics such as the phenomenal "Final Fantasy" role playing series. Playing LMA Manager, this can sometimes happen. You'll have just won the UEFA cup, the FA cup, and top of the league, only to suffer an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Villa, or someone like that. Not that I'm, trying to make Villa look bad - they do that for themselves, but it's just the sick way of football that LMA mirrors so ... Read the complete review

I have owned LMA Manager for about half a year now and am still perfecting my technigues on management. In my opinion, this is the best Management game on the Playstation and fares well ahead of games such as Premier Manager and Player Manager. It is often a lot more satisfying to complete a season when you have done it on your own merit. By this I mean that you do not start off with a large club with plenty of money and a large ground, or cheat. Instead, start off with a low division team with little cash and a crap stadium. It is however still possible to achieve success if you know what to do: 1. Firstly, put all the really bad players up for ... Read the complete review
