Advantages: good features, variability, fairly difficult
Disadvantages: only enjoy if like that type of game
I have sat here for the last hour with my younger sister playing Jurrasic Park : The Lost World for the Playstation One. I don't know why I suddenly opted to play this game, in truth, I never even really played it when I got it, but this was the first time that I had actually played it and got any enjoyment out of it. Maybe the game just isn't my cup of tea but I found it to be a disappointment. I'd paid £19.99 for it when I got it but I expect you'll be able to get it for half of that now. If you like games where the sole purpose is to destroy your opponents, then I'd definetly recommend this game for you because it's unique in it's own way. If you don't like that type of game, then avoidance of this one is a must. The good thing about Jurassic Park is that you can play as five different types of people - once you complete it or unlock the cheats via the password screen (available via the internet). I'd definetly recommend searching for the password because the levels are very difficult to complete and you probably won't get onto the good characters. The first type is a baby dinosaur and you basically have to fight your way through the jungle. I can't say this is a very good level as you have limited options. When you complete this, you become a human with a small gun and you have to fight off the small dinosaurs and negotiate your way through the woods. Once that's been completed, you'll become a slightly larger and more aggressive type of dinosaur, known as a raptor. You can now attack your opponents with more conviction, but they are slighlty more challenging. This level is actually quite enjoyable. It's followed by a more sophisticated hunter with better weapons before finally you become the T-Rex with the ability to pick up and destory your opponents at will. This level is actually quite enjoyable and makes the game worthwhile. As I've said before,
it's down to your taste whether you like this or not, but it's a good one to have out of curiosity, and once you've unlocked all the characters, I'm sure you'll be able to squeeze a fair amount of fun out of it.
