Being a Micro Machines addict, I bought Micro Maniacs new at a bargain price (£6.99) on the advice of a friend. Well worth the money I spent but I wouldn't recommend buying it for normal retail price, unless you really love these sorts of games. Which I do. At first the concept appears similar to Micro Machines. Your task is to control little runnning figures, rather than vehicles, around various race courses. The tracks are very entertaining, with better details than Micro Machines, including kitchen work surfaces complete with strings of spaghetti to slide down and hot hobs to avoid, toy train sets with tunnels to run through, plastic sheep, trees and ... What can I say? It’s a racing game. Now as I say it’s a racing game, you would think of such a game as Gran Turismo 3, or something similar, which is somehow better. Now that is a mistake. Racing games can be so varied, so innovative and so original that you don’t even need vehicles. Now, some games have attempted at this (take Psybadek for example) and very, very miserably failed. And this is a reason we should all be very gratefully thanking Codemasters for this game. Hah. It’s a racing game. Codemasters were the people behind the previous Micro Machines, Micro Machines 2, Micro Machines ’96 (or something) and Micro Machines Military for ... Read the complete review

Three years ago Codemasters released the first multi-million game from the MicroManiacs series - and now they're back with an all new twist. MicroManiacs looks similar to micromachines but there's a difference. The vehicles have gone and there's a hoard of strange little men to race. All the classic levels are here such as bathrooms, workshops, toyrooms and there's weaponry so you can cheat your way to victory. You also have special pickups, like in Wipeout but not that sordid! This game is a little slower than previous Micromachine games but it won't affect the gameplay too much. Fab game but not much different from the last title. ... Read the complete review

Having loved the micro machines games, I rented this out for a couple of nights to see if it was any good before I went and bought it. well I guess it was a well spent £3.50 as I know i don't want to buy the game! Firstly i guess i didn't look at the box properly and the cute little tiny people wearing crash helmets in the picture turned out to be a selection of wierd and fairly ugly, not cute monsters, including one particulary disturbing cross between a little girl holding a teddy bear and a mutant with half its brain hanging out. The gameplay is alright but nothing compared to micro machines and the tracks while being fairly original still, ... Read the complete review

Micro Maniacs is the best Micro game you could possibly get, that is if you are looking for a game like this. There are endless amount imaginative and crazy tracks with eight little Maniacs to race as you please with four other mistery Maniacs to win. To get these mystery four you have to win (come 1st) in all the races in a certain group. This is quite hard seeing as there are other Micro Maniacs trying too kill you to win the race. Every caracter has different weapons to the others. Some more affective than others. If you want to win very easily I would advice you to use a caracter called (Meseme). She has telekenetic powers which pick the ... Read the complete review
