Advantages: the games are easy to get the hang of

Disadvantages: requires quick reflexes

I had a demo of four of the games from this collection and I became totally and completely hooked. I was so desperate to buy it but I couldn't seem to find it anywhere. I eventually found it in PC world for £19.99 and I am now the proud owner of this superb collection.

These 10 games range from a simple pattern matching game to hard thinking logic games.

*Rat poker*
I'm totally addicted to this one in particular and is the reason I wanted to buy it. Try to get 3 or 4 same-coloured rats in a row to clear them from the main area. You trap rats to get them clear of the ladder, then place then back in the flow where they will add in your pattern building. You start with only being able to trap one rat, but soon you can trap loads of rats. Rat poker is available on the demo version but it is only a taste – the full version is brilliant (in my opinion)

*Spring weekend*
You have to make the same patterns as the computer, it’s fairly simple at first but things soon start to get quite difficult but because there's no time limit you have all time you need to work it out. My boyfriend noticed that the butterflies made "bird noises" which he found most amusing.

*Finty Flush*
Different coloured marbles fill a grid at the top of your screen; your job is to fill the four grids at the bottom with the same coloured marbles in each one. It’s a lot harder than it sounds!!! Time is not on your side!

*Line Up*
You get different shaped five-block pieces of sports balls (basketballs, tennis balls, etc.) that you line up on a grid which resembles a football pitch. You must form horizontal or vertical lines.

*Charmer*
You control flutes and charm the snakes out of their pots. As in most of these games, time is not on your side, so think fast and don't panic!!! Stay alert to save them before the last pot gets the lid.

*Muddled Casino*
Try to move
playing cards off a grid to the exit without knocking other cards off. Cards can only be moved in groups, which are determined by symbols at the edges of the grid.0

*Colour Collision*
You control a line that changes colour as it zig zags all over the board. Your goal is to get the line to touch the floating sunshine’s when the line and the sunshine’s edge are the same colour.

*Mixed Genetics*
A row of animals at the top have been "mixed" - rhinos have monkeys’ legs or elephants have birds’ heads, you have to "breed" the animals back to normal by matching their proper body parts.

*Fringer*
In this game you have to untangle ropes in alternating directions before a bar comes down and tangles them up again. It requires quick thinking and quick reflexes.

*Jewel Chase*
This is one of the easiest puzzles in the collection. You have to grab as many jewels and coins before the computer-controlled creature gets to them.

All in All, “The Puzzle Collection” is very enjoyable. I play about four of them and don’t bother with the rest.
