One of the most recent of EA Sports' celebrated ice hockey sims and, as you'd expect, one of the best. It boasts numerous gameplay tweaks over its predecessors, most notably a power bar that lets you gauge the strength of your slapshots. The game's graphics are very good and the game has the brilliant quality of having the kind of gameplay that a player can pick up quite easily and quickly as they go along. Hockey games are getting exceedingly boring now. all that ever changes in them now are the players names and occasionally the shirt colours. The game play stay the same. The same Graphics, the same tactics, the same easy ways to beat the keeper. everything. This is why it has become so boring. There will not be many sales of NHL 2001 and 2000 as it is exactly the same as '99! OK, it may improve on the PS2 format but they have reached the limit as far as Playstation technology is concerned. Hi my name is Igor and here is my opinion about very popular game: NHL FACE OFF’99. I think that it is very good, nice, interesting and it really famous game. Hockey is very popular game especially in Europe. In the same ways in Russia maybe our team is not the best but I think that the team of Russia can play enough good. I do play alot of ice hockey games as I play the sport myself.But for me this is the worst one i have played in my whole life it is slow with no game play and you just do not get in to the game.You find youself looking away from the screen or falling a sleep during the game.Not what I paid my money for but aleast it does something.If you two love ice hockey games and you find your self picking this of the shelf put it back and look some where else. ... Nhl face off is not the best game to buy it is boring.The best part of this game is when they start faighting.But you get sent into the sin bin for five minutes.This game is very crap,dont buy this game.The grafics are slow and so is the commentory.The music is lame and it gets on your nerves, This game is a piece of poorness and no one should eva buy it in the whole history of the playstation good bye!!!!!!! ...
