I am an experienced downhill moutain biker and I, as you would expect, was amazed when I found out they were releasing a downhill biker game. I went out and got it and I was outraged. It was nothing like the real thing, the real adrenalin sport. It was a poor quality low graphics simulator. Also with a small range of tricks and tracks. There is no addiction factor at all and the gameplay is virtually non-existent. I recommend getting a demo, it's about as fun as the game and you don't have to waste all that money! I must admit to having a little bias towards this game as mountain biking is a hobby of mine. However, this is still an excellent game. There are several different riders, numerous tracks from around the world and a host of extras. You'll have to play the game a bit to decide which is your favourite rider, but pick one with good recovery,stamina and balance points because you'll no doubt end up pedalling too much and cornering poorly at first. Downhill mountain biking is something that I could never, nor ever dare to, do. The mere thought of pedalling as fast as I can on a bicycle designed to be as light and fast as possible down a near vertical slope on gravel, mud and water. Doing it in the safety of my own house in the warm and without the fear of imminent death makes the whole situation much more pleasant though.
