... are still in effect only 4 tracks. These are; alpine, janpan, usa and stuttgart. Four tracks may seem few, but there are even fewer cars; just one! The only choice you have is the colour or driver (you cannot even mix up car colours and drivers.) The car you drive is the Porshe Boxter, a nice car, but in this game you cannot get even the remotest idea of its performance. The game is fun for a while, and not too difficult to complete the championships and time trials, and there is a twoplayer mode, but thats it...more

Rating:

Well what can i say there Porshes there fast theres 24 tracks over all on Porshe Challange. They are from all over the world. There are 3 different options on the game you can play the old fashioned arcade style racing format or a time challange a try and beet the top times and best of all the 2 player game option whats bettern than sat on the settee with your whipping is rear end. The games been out for a bit but it still does not lose its eddiction facter throwing your cars round the corners and smashing in to the other cars. The crs handle quite well sometimes the cars seem abit sluggish when going round corners other they handle all right. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Drive a Porsche (308 words)
by - written on 19/06/01 (Useful, 37 readings)
Rating:

Porsche Challenge was released around the same time as the car it features, the Porsche Boxster. At the time, with the involvement of Porsche in its development, the possibility of the game being no more than an advertising gimmick loomed high. Fortunately, this game provides quality racing that falls heavily into the simulation format. Having the choice of only one type of car to use, or in fact race against, as this is the only type of car in the game, is very limiting in variety. Premium Review Porsche Challenge (PS): Good for a while (247 words)

This game is not really worth the effort, it is now an old game and displays this throughout. First off, there are four main tracks, each with a longer and shorter variation. Each track also has an interactive version, where by the sections of the track switch between the long and short versions. Finally, each of the variations of tracks has a "mirror mode" variation. Despite all of these "variations," there are still in effect only 4 tracks. These are; alpine, janpan, usa and stuttgart. Four tracks may seem few, but there are even fewer cars; just one! Premium Review Try it with the Steering Wheel! (241 words)
by - written on 17/04/01 (Useful, 43 readings)
Rating:

Vroom! What great fun this is! Ok - so some people may think that a steering wheel is a bit much for a game to need - but believe me, on a big TV, with the wheel and pedals, this game is the best driving fun you can have without complicated setups and teams like the F1 type games (although they are good too). 24 tracks in different zones, like Urban in a Japan type setting, Alpine with twisty corners and snow, American type road circuits, and European racing tracks with banked walls. Further options include racing yourself in a time challenge, where a shadow of yourself on your previous lap appears so you can check your pace (brilliant), and ...  Read the complete review
