Quake II is the sequel to the original Quake, and like the first game it is a first person Shoot em up, that means that you see the levels from the eyes of the main character and you have to basically shoot everything that moves. here are the basic stats for the game: Memory card - 1 Block Players - 1 or 2 Multi tap Adaptable - 1 or 4 players Vibration function compatible Mouse Compatible The Storyline is that Earth in the not to distant future has received a transmission from an alien race who are approaching Mars, as the aliens continue there approach all contact is lost with Mars colony but the people of Earth are assured that it has ... There are lots of shoot em ups on the PSone and there is one that is very underrated and its name, Quake II. Quake II is a brilliant game but not many people talk about it, as there was not any hype, which I think is not fair. A lot of people bought for example Duke Nukem: Time to Kill which is nowhere near as good but there was hype about it so it sold a lot more copies. There are only two really good shoot em ups out there one is Quake II and the other is Medal of Honour. But Quake II beats it because it’s faster and it has four player. The title originally debuted on only high end PC's but has now been converted to the five year old Playstation. Is it up to the job?? The answer to that is YES. Hammerhead have converted the game brilliantly. Most of the levels remain the same as on the PC original albeit with a few changes here and there but for the most part the game is identical. The story of the game is your usual last mercenary alive so it is up to you to save the planet etc. ... Read the complete review

I bought Quake 2 more or less straight after it came out so it can't be that bad. The levels are big but they don't load up all in one go so you have a lot of waiting to do. I played this game all the way through and then left it for a while - and when I went back to it It Gave Me Motion Sickness. Buy this game if you want a day off school/work. Other than that this game is good and does exactly what you expect it to do but no more. ... Read the complete review
