Rayman is the original game in a Rayman series that has lasted for many years now and is one that I'm sure is going to continue for many years to come as Rayman, with his floppy hair and lack of legs & arms, is someone whose become recognisable to the last couple of generations for his funny looks. In this game you can play as Rayman and work your way through 60 levels in six different worlds and there are lots of different actions that Rayman will learn along the way such as how to punch, how to hanf from ledges etc and you don't even need to have a memory card for this game as you will be given a password which you can then enter on the first main screen ... Rayman is one of the best games that was released on the playstation one, and suitable for all ages from young to old. It is the last of the great 2-d sidescrollers, before we headed towards a dodgy 3-d, bad graphics, and bad camera views 3-d version style platform games, and the only Rayman game to be of any significant quality. It's your typical platform game world set up. A little map, taking you from area to area, and several levels within each area. You play as rayman, this cool little dude with no arms or legs, who miraculously still has arms and feet, and your mission is to rescue these little pink blob creatures from cages they are trapped in ... I know that this game has been around for over five years. The recent cold nights have made me dust down the old Playstation and I was quick to insert the Rayman disc when it caught my eye. I have never reviewed a game before so any feedback would be most welcome we all have to start somewhere don't we? I got the game free with my Playstation starter pack. Research has shown me that the present retail price is around £9.99, which is quite good even for an older game. Ubi Soft Entertainment produces the game.
