Severance - Blade of Darkness (PS)

This game is the dog's bits if you are looking for a third-person hand-to-hand gore-fest. Severance even allows you to hack off an enemies arm or leg and then proceed to beat him/her to death with it, which is rather fun, in my opinion at least. The game has literally hundreds of weapons, with each one coming with it's own unique special attacks to be learnt. It also has four very different playable characters, each with their own individual story and abilities. Severance: Blade Of Darkness ! What can i say about this ? Well, it bugs slightly with some very dodgy camera angles, this is common in 3rd person games on the PC i guess. However patches are available on-line which eliminate most of the problems. Right that's the technical bit over with, Severance rocks, i mean this game truly kicks arse ! With 4 steely warriors to choose from each with special weapons and abilities this game gets 9/10 in my opinion. I have to admit it. I only bought this game because i saw for cheap in a shop that sells second hand computer games. I would never have paid full price for it as its not the sort of game i normally play, but im now indebted to the nice cheap shop, because without it i would hav missed out on one of the most fun games i have played in ages. The first thing you notice when you start the game is the fantastic graphics. They are truly superb, with excellent lighting effects and beautiful rippling water.
