Lucky Luke (PS) ... remember getting my copy of The Playstation Magazine and seeing a small article on a cute little Platformer by the name of Lucky Luke, It was actually quite a hard game to get a hold of over here for some reason and I only managed to get it when it went to a Platinum title, So whats the score with this plucky little Cowboy? Well what you get is pretty good, instead of just a simple platform game this kind of turns into a shooter and racer game at times too as you ll wander into different little challenges which will create different levels where you ll be confronted with a race, or even a taxing little puzzle to solve. Doom (PS) ... is the ultimate game! It is a first person shooter set on mars. The levels are full of toxic waste, mutants and various weapons. It has over 50 levels. You work your way through the levels, shooting things and collecting weapons. You also collect coloured keycards to open matching doors. The aliens vary in type and strength from soldiers to knights of hell and pain elemental. It is one of the funnest games i have played in ages. The game is so simple and it s great fun to just run through nuclear buildings on mars shooting aliens with rocket launchers. The picture on the front of the game says it all. Resident Evil: Survivor (PS) ... for defining the survival-horror genre, the unfortunate thing about the Resident Evil series is the spawning of this Survivor game. Unlike the other games, a first-person view is adopted here and a light-gun can be used instead for play. Perhaps it should have been an arcade effort, but arcade fun was not the intention for a series which takes itself seriously. Now I couldn t remember the plot which was just as well, as the story begins with your character regaining conciousness after a helicopter crash only to realise his memory is gone...
