This third person platform game lets you take control of one of the most famous super heroes ever created, Spider-Man. Spider-Man has been framed and must clear his name.. As Spider-Man you are armed with a large repertoire of moves. You can crawl up walls, web sling between buildings, sling yourself to walls, punch, kick, jump, pick up and throw (large) objects and you have several web based attacks. Most importantly you have Spider sense, warning you when you are approaching a dangerous situation. Of course all the moves must are necessary throughout the game. The control is well thought out and easy to use, with 'Black Cat' your super heroine friend, ... Read the complete review

When I was as young as six years old, I used to watch the cartoon series and the old live action television series of Spidey, then later on I got into the comic books and went Spidey mad! So the anticipation for this game for me was very high. But was I rewarded when I opened the package, switched on the Playstation and started to play - HELL YEAH! After stopping a bunch of terrorists from blowing up a very big bank, Spidey finds Mary Jane has been kidnapped by his Symbiote enemy, Venom. Typically, Spidey has more than enough already on his plate - what with Rhino causing havoc at a research lab and someone posing as Spider-man stealing the newly ... Read the complete review

For years I wished I could do whatever a spider can. And now that's all possible with this excellent game from the very nice people at Activision. They have captured the essence of Spidey better than I would have though, and some of the in-game modes they have implemented to overcome problems were genius. Spiderman can stick to absolutley anything in the game, just as he was designed, and as he can crawl on the roof, how do they implement that? By making the roof see-through once he gets his sticky mits on it, so that you can still see what's going on underneath Spidey. Cool! The levels are well designed, and although you don't have the ... I recently got this game from Amazon with my ill gotten Dooyoo miles and those hours at the keyboard were not spent in vain. The game is essentially a platform game but with a 3-d enviroment which lets you roam about freely. You play the web clad hero, carrying out various missions around New York. The game is set in the 'classic' Marvel comics era and although Spidey is married to Mary Jane none of the current events in the comics are touched upon-so there's no black costume, clone etc. The game won me over as soon as I booted it up as they've kept that great tune from the 1970's cartoon, you know "Spiderman!Spiderman!/he can do ... I have been long awiating the release of this game since spiderman was my childhood hero. I have seen games on x-men, silver sufer and other marvel superheroes gone by but there was still no spidey. When I first heard of its release in Powerstation i was delighted. I rushed down to the store and bought it. I wasnt dissapointed. It is basically a 3D platform game whee you control spidey in a third person view. It includes all the traditional spidy moves such as web sling, web shot etc. What I thought that brought this platform game above the rest was the openness of the game. It isnt as open as the likes of Urban Chaos but it doesnt need to be. Also it ... Read the complete review
