NHL 2001 (PS) ... have to say that I don t follow Ice Hockey at all, I wouldn t even know where to find, although im assuming Channel 5 probably shows it. Even though i ve got no love for it, the first time I played NHL 94 for the SEGA Megadrive I was completley hooked, the way you skate around so smoothly and the high pace action really is tremendous fun. So with NHL 2001 I was very pleased, the game is obviously an Ice Hockey game with different options from exhibitions to leagues to a tournament or the career type mode where you play a Season. FIFA 2000 (PS) ... the days where there were millions of football games to buy for the PSX the two main runners where always ISS Pro and Fifa , even though there were always better games out there than FIFA such as Viva Football and This is Football. Because of the licenses and advertising it was always Fifa that was selling well at the top of the gaming charts. Graphically FIFA was hard to fault, all strips were perfect and players really did look lifelike at the time and the commentary on the game was excellent and went along with the game perfectly. The problem for me with FIFA is the gameplay and the 2000 edition still didn t address the fact that this was still far too easy or rid... International Superstar Soccer Pro Evolution (PS) ... in the 1990 s there was only one football game for me for a long time. Sensible World of Soccer for the Amiga, this was the ultimate in football gaming and I never beleived it would be beaten. For me it wasn t beaten until the Playstation 2 came out but there were a select few games that were each and every bit as good as SWOS was and they came in the form of International Superstar Soccer. Originating on the SNES and evolving through to the PSX this is the 4th installment of the game on the Playstation.
