Spyro the Dragon was probably the first game I ever completed! It was the first game I properly played as well, and probably what set off my addiction to platform games. The Story: Gnasty Gnorc comes back seeking revenge for being banished from the dragon world. He turns all the dragons into statues but misses Spyro because he is ... Read the complete review

Spyro was the first "proper" game I ever played on a playstation (being about 7 at the time), as I don't think ridge racer really counts (although that was fabulous too - another review perhaps). I must admit, I am a fan of platform games in general, and I do think that this is one of the best of them, despite the terrible chunky cluncky ... Read the complete review

Spyro the Dragon is the first of a series of video games based around a small purple dragon. The story starts when all the dragons in the dragon kingdom are enjoying themselves when the baddie Gnasty Gnorc who was banished from the kingdom a while ago gets angry and turns all the dragons into statues and scatters them all around the different ... Spyro the Dragon I promise this will be my last Spyro review until I get a new Spyro game, and then watch out! Spyro the dragon is the second best Spyro game in the series. Behind only “Year of the Dragon”, this game is only #2 because there are more abilities in “Spyro: Year of the Dragon.” ~The ... Read the complete review

Ah the good old Playstation - remember the time it was the height of the games console ladder? Oh! The jealousy, the seething pangs of hatred towards those who owned one of these wonders of the electronic age... All gone now, I've got myself one of those new fangled things with PS2 written all over it, DVD (whatever that is...) ... Read the complete review

It’s almost 25 years since I started using computers and playing computer games. Although I tended to concentrate on roleplaying games and strategy games, I have occasionally dipped into the arcade and played a few platform games. Most of these games were 2-d and involved jumping up and down on platforms, collecting jewels and avoiding ... Read the complete review

That butt ugly Gnasty Gnorc guy has turned all the dragons to crystal. But he mist Spyro the smallest of the dragons but the one with the most attitude. It now looks like It all up to you as you take Spyro on the advancer to save the 5 dragon worlds and Gnorcs world from Gnasty Gnorc and his monster type things that Gnorc has made to stop you ... This game was another unnofficial mascot for the PlayStation when this game came out. You cantrol a purple dragon namely... um... can't remember... Anyway, you must free all of the dragons in the dragon world that have been turned into stone and also kill all of the Gnorcs in the dragon world. It also helps to collect as much treasure ... This was the first game I got with my playstation way back in 1999. I still rate it as a favourite yet. What the game is about is a little dragon called Spyro. All the adult dragons have been frozen and the rays didn't get to Spyro because he was too small (aw!). Anyway Spyro has to go about all these levels to free the ... Read the complete review

Spyro the angel beacuse he babysits my lad and keeps him out of mischief. Spyro the Dragon is one of the best investments that I have made in my PSX library. It is a multi level game where a cute looking purple dragon collects crystals and saves his dragon peers. He has to go into a multitude of different places and has different tasks to ... Read the complete review

Every console has its mascot. Sega has Sonic, Nintendo has Mario, and Sony? Lara Croft? Crash Bandicoot? The answer is that Sony doesn't have a mascot - even though Spyro could well be a contender. Platformers-wise, Super Mario 64 (on the Nintendo 64) seems to be the undisputed king of the genre, and the PlayStation has tried to come ... Read the complete review

After seeing the graphics in Spyro the Dragon I can safely say that the PlayStation has just about been pushed to it's limit these days. The game consists of well drawn, well animated polygonal enemies throughout, and Spyro himself is superbly animated and full of character. The creatures all have a Pandemonium feel about them, as they are ... Read the complete review

The cutest little dragon in the cutest little platformer. Spyro is a little cute dragon who has to save all the other dragons from some bad boy called Gnorc. Great name. Anyway, Spyro has to go around bashing into froggy-type people and setting stuff on fire with his rank breath. Sounds really childish, and...yes it is. That's what's so ... Read the complete review
