Advantages: Excellent sequel to the first, Even better storyline, Play online via Gamespy
Disadvantages: Some of the missions can get boring as they are too long
Basically, I LOVE this game, it's a huge improvement over the original, is a lot more stable and smooth and the graphics are a lot better. If you've heard people complaing about this game, don't be drawn in, because a lot of the complaints are about that fact that it isn't the original, well, it isn't, its Armada 2. I've had many an enjoyable battle and the levels of difficulty in the game are varied, from being fairly easy to extremely hard with varouis tweak sliders for the AI along the way. For the Single Player Campaign, the levels for each of the campaigns reflect the races attributes, so, for exapmle, without giving to much detail away, the Federation's missions are based on Defense and Proteection with the odd attack thrown in for good measure, the Klingon campaign is mainly "Let loose the dogs of War". Of the three Campaigns, the Borg is the most challenging and rewarding (for those of u that like the borg, there new weapons and ships are fantastic) Instant action is superb and the Multiplayer is supported by Gamespy and is a lot more stable, with even us 56kers being able to have a long game on it. As for the rest, play it and find out. I give it Gameplay:9 -excellent but has room for improvement Graphics:8 -although a markable improvement on A1, its still a bit behind other like games such as Homeworld Sound:10 -The music is fantastic and Patrick Stewart could make the Teletubbiesd sound like shakespeare Overall:9
