My first experience on the Playstation with an Athletics game came when the very day I got my PSX. I bought it from Currys at the time and it was in 1996 with the Olympic pack, Olympic Soccer and Olympic Games were the titles that came with the pack. I wasn't disappointed in that effort, I love a good button basher and they take me back to the old days of Daley Thomsons decathalon on the spectrum which cost me quite a few broken joysticks back in olden days. This is pretty much just a Sydney 2000 version of Olympic Games, the same events are there from the 100 metres sprint to the long jump . And all the fun of the pole vault and archery thrown in for fun too. ... Read the complete review

This is the official computer game for the olympics, which is in the same style as "track and field", in which you have to tap as quickly as possible alternate buttons to make your person: have more stamina, speed or stength as you are competing in your event. There are 12 events in this game, ranging from the 100m sprint, javelin and triple jump to kayaking and cycling. Each is a mixture between tapping the buttons fast and timing another button press so that, for example your person will jump in the triple jump etc. This game is great for multiplay, as up to eight people can compete against each other at the same time, which can be great ... This game is the worst game ever unless you like pressing x ,o , x , o all the time you are on. There are different events including 100m sprint, 400m running, diving, hammer, javalin, swimming, cycling, canoeing, high jump, long jump, tipple jump and a few more. How to play: running: keep on pressing x , o , x , o for the whole race! boaring diving: tell the judges wat you are going to do press x and then o or x or /_\! hammer: press x,o,x,o and then square! javalin: same as above! The controles are the same event. If you know a more boaring game than this let me know. ... Read the complete review

I borrowed Sydney 2000 from a friend. Now you would think that being the Offical game of the Olympics that it would have lots to offer. But that is not the case. All the events require fast button pushing but no skill. You don't have to actually do anything other than press the buttons. The faster you push the buttons, the better you do. I actually finished the Olympic events, taking gold medals in each, in an afternoon. Great to play if you don't want to have to figure anything out. And a MUST play for those trying to develop speed with their fingertips. So if you have nothing better to do and want to play a game that you're sure to ... Read the complete review
