this is one of the best beat um ups on playstation and it certinately was when it came outand it still is even now they have releasted teken 3 and teken tag .the backgroungs are amasing and the fighters are very realistic.one thing that bugs me about this game is that it doesn't require much skill to pull off some of the most skill full moves.my 8 year old brouther has managed to master paul and can some times beat me!so don't get put off if you get beaten by a your little brouther or sister.other than that its a kick arse game which you'll spend hours playing. ... I got this game almost as soon as it went platinum and I have never looked back, it is one of the best fighting games I have played. The graphics are reasonable for any playstation game and the loading times are quite good. Even though I have the PAL version of the game I have also played the NSTC version, which is quite a bit faster and slightly better graphics but hey who is complaining. Hope you have a nice time. La la la la la la la la. ... Read the complete review

This is platform one on one fighting game. There are many different characters, some of which you will not have to start with. To gain more characters, you must complete the game on “arcade mode” with the characters you start with. The game is very addictive and very playable. However, there are a few characters much better than others, which could be frustrating in a two player game. A good buy if that’s “up your street”, hours of fun. ... Read the complete review

Having played Tekken 3 before this, I found Tekken 2 really dissapointing. I automatically would've been as the technology had advanced between the titles, and so the sequel was naturally going to be a superior product in terms of graphics and sound etc., but the playability of Tekken 3 makes this feel like you're pitting wooden characters against eachother, and it's indeed not far from it with noticably polygonic characters, dry backgrounds, and even though there's some cool tunes and music, the whole game just seems like it's an early 90's OAP. I have to admit that some of the special moves are fun, and it is enjoyable inititating fights, ... Read the complete review

========== New Intro: ========== _Very_ Nice. Gives brief intros for each of the returning characters. Heihachi crawls out of the pit, Michelle returns to her house to find it trashed, etc. Each character is given a reason for returning to the tournament. It is for the most part very clean FMV, with a bit of the trademark JPG edge distortion only on distance shots. Close-ups are all really clear though. ========= Graphics: ========= Better? The individual characters looked cleaner to me, but the backgrounds have a 2D backdrop. I know that the arcade did to some degree also, but it does seem a little flat on my monitor. The graphics are ... Read the complete review
