Tekken 3 would be the final PSOne instalment for the legendary beat 'em up series, despite prolonged but unfounded rumours of Tekken Tag Tornament making it's way to the little grey wonderbox. By the time the third Tekken was released in Autumn in 1998, it had become the most highly-anticipated fighting game ever made. People were expecting the best beat 'em up ever created, chiefly due to it's magnificent predecessor rewriting the fighting rulebook. Did Tekken 3 deliver? Just about. So what we have here is a one-on-one battler whereby to win an individual fight, you must knock out your opponent, whilst trying to avoid taking a battering ... Read the complete review

In my second year of university I lived in a shared house. In the lounge we had a playstation, on this playstation we had Tekken 3.... There is only one game I have played more than this and that is Sensible Soccer, which many will tell you is the finest game to ever grace the world of computers, if that is so, then in my opinion this is the second greatest to ever do so!!! I have long since lost count of how many hours I have spent on this game. In my days at university hours and hours would be spent in front of it. There were 8 of us in the house and we pretty much all played it. The hours of winner stays on stretched into long nights and early mornings. ... Read the complete review

The grand-daddy of all home fighting games has arrived. It doesn't get any better than this. Honest. This game offers so much in the way of gameplay and extra's that it will never be topped, and it does this all without bouncing breasts, eh! (refer to Dead or Alive review) This game really brings the arcade home. Actually I'd be disappointed with the arcade version at home because of the all the extra's Namco crammed into this version! It's chock full of characters (24) of which 10 are selectable at first. There are a ton of secret characters to find! To release a character you must beat the game with another character. My one problem with ... Read the complete review

There are a lot of beat-um-ups on the playstation but Tekken wipes the floor with all of them. There are three Tekken?s out but the third one is a lot better than the earlier editions due to the improved graphics, speed and the fact that there are more modes to choose from to make the game last that bit longer. There are numerous modes to choose from. Arcade mode is where you pick a character and go through about 12 stages and at the end you get rewarded with a new character or mode. VS mode where you play against your friend or against the computer in one match. Team Battle mode is a mode when you pick up to a maximum of eight characters and battle against ... The third in the Tekken games this one is my favourite. The graphics are much improved and the players look much more realistic then in the previous Tekkens. The characters are just excellent, and they all have fantastic moves which you’ll spend hours mastering. I like the range of characters available, there’s definitely one that will appeal to you. I like the different modes you have a choice of e.g, Versus, Survival, 1 player, Team battle, Time Attack and the practice one which beginners will find useful. VS Mode: Simple two player fight. Team Battle Mode: You pick how many characters to play as. Survival Mode: You get through as ... Read the complete review
