Advantages: Lots of characters and features to explore

Disadvantages: None!

Tekken 3 is a fighting game developed by Namco exclusively for the Playstation 1. It is the ultimate of the Tekkens however advanced they may are now.

Tekkens main mode is the arcade mode, here you will take one of the series fighters which include series favourites, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, Heihachi Mishima and important newcomer: Jin Kazama through their paces to win their character movie.

The fighting is arcade brilliance as the older characters have more moves to their arsenal and you can start to see some similarities of moves between families like Julia and Michelle and Jin and his father Kazuya.

There is a surprising little mini game of Beach Ball, and this is quite comical being able to use your ninja moves to beat the crap out of someone without even touching them, either hitting them in the face with the ball or just knocking it over them and them falling over as if you wounded them.

A nice touch for the enthusiast is the Survival Mode which is highly addictive where you put one character through as many levels as possible, beating up mobs of official people and then the main boss of the streets. To power up your character when he/she is running out of life, you need to collect a chicken and it gives you more life. I just find the way the announcer guy says "Chicken" really really funny.

Another nice touch is in the Theater mode where if you have the Tekken 1 and 2 discs you can watch all the films you collected from them as the films themselves are not accessible from discs 1 and 2 as they do not even have a Theatre mode.

Summary: Best of the Tekken series purely because of how they ramped up the moves and the variety
