Advantages: Addictive, brilliant graphics and gameplay
Disadvantages: VERY ADDICTIVE
The third in the Tekken games this one is my favourite. The graphics are much improved and the players look much more realistic then in the previous Tekkens. The characters are just excellent, and they all have fantastic moves which you’ll spend hours mastering. I like the range of characters available, there’s definitely one that will appeal to you. I like the different modes you have a choice of e.g, Versus, Survival, 1 player, Team battle, Time Attack and the practice one which beginners will find useful. VS Mode: Simple two player fight. Team Battle Mode: You pick how many characters to play as. Survival Mode: You get through as many rounds without getting killed. Time Attack Mode: Complete the game in the quickest time. Tekken Force Mode: You have to complete this 4 times to get one of the secret characters. Tekken Ball Mode: A volley ball like game, just more fighter based! Practise Mode: You get to practice here!! The music is OK and you don’t get distracted by it and can concentrate on the gameplay. The classic painful sound effects are quite effective. I just get annoyed that the females scream louder and sound a bit pitiful compared to the males. My personal favourite has to be Julia. You have to have skill to play her and win (unlike One-punch Paul). I also feel I have to prove that women can fight just as well as men. Some characters are guaranteed to make you laugh, one is the little farting dinosaur (LOL yep I'm not joking!). Tekken 3 keeps the best of the old (the arena fights) and have added new games. Tekken ball is a game which is nice too, but I usually find myself going back to the fights after 10 minutes or so. I’ll just give a brief description of the characters: Jin Kazama: Great moves and easy to learn the basic moves. Lei Wulong: Great low ground clearance moves, my cousin’s favourite player also I st
ill kick his ass! ;-) Hwoarang: Does some wicked moves and was my fave at one point. Eddie Gordo: Fantastic disco-style fighting. The only one who I can get to beat Gon Forest Law: Kung fu fighter, is good for Bruce Lee wannabes. Paul Phoenix: Reminds me of One-punch Mickey from the film 'Snatch'. Has a killer punch, but is a bit slow. King: A wrestler and has some moves reminiscent of WWF. Ling Xioyu: Small, annoying, and a bit crap. Nina Williams: A ‘slapper’ and likes to stamp her heels, I actually am pretty good when using her. Yoshimitsu: Has this sword thing and is pretty good once you get used to the special moves. When you complete the game with any character, you win a secret one. I think there’s probably about thirty. Well all I can say about the game is that it’s a beat ‘em up classic and one I’ll always play with! It’s great. Also great to ward off depression, it's amazing how better you feel when kicking butt onscreen!
