Advantages: new graphics, voice acting, two difficulty settings, puzzles not too hard not too easy

Disadvantages: Once it's completed, you want more

The Curse of Monkey Island is the 3rd installment to the Monkey Island series and took Monkey Island to a whole new level. The graphics were a big step forward and instead of blocky characters on a low resolution, the game actually looks like a cartoon and is full of character.

Gybrush Threepwood - a mighty pirate; goes on another adventure to rescue Elaine from LeChuck, after putting a curse on her!

The game still uses the same gameplay as previous Monkey Islands, where you choose what to say, pick up objects, combine them to make new objects and use them at the right time and place to progress, but the controls are far easier than before. Now there are 3 options 'look' 'speak' and 'use/pick up' rather than the list of commands at the bottom of the screen.

Voice acting is another huge change to the series, bringing the characters to life and enhancing the humour. The sarcastic/silly comments from Gybrush still remain and are at their funniest, but now you don't have to imagine in your head how they are spoken as you can hear him!

The soundtrack is awesome and you'll find yourself humming along to the catchy tunes.

This game is the only game i have played more than 4 times. I enjoy it so much i make it an annual thing, and have been playing it every year for 10 years now!
