The Italian Job is, as the name suggests, based on the sixties film of the same name. The object of the game is to steal gold from a bank in Turin and make off with the gold. All the familiar parts of the film are there including the Pakistani ambassadors' car and the famous getaway with Mini Coopers. If you are a fan of the film it is well worth spending your hard earned cash to act out your favourite scenes. Unfortunately Michael Caine does not lend his voice to the game, but Phil Cornwell off of Stella Street impersonates him superbly. The game does not focus solely around minis, historic cars of the time are available along with other vehicles such ... Read the complete review

The Italian Job is a great game for people who like driving. There are lots of different and interesting things to do. You can do jobs, which can get you extra cars. There are three different places to do the levels in. There is London, Turin and the Alps. Each level you have to do stage by stage. There are about 8 levels in London, 6 in Turin and 2 in the Alps. Also there is a free ride, where you can drive round London and Turin (once you have won it). There are several different types of cars, including fast, slow and antique, new. On free style you can drive around. In London there is a junkyard where you race a car and if you win it falls into the junkyard ... Read the complete review

nope, this is not the one with Michael Caine in it. That 1969 crime caper - rolled out whenever there was a hole to fill the TV schedules. No this new film is set in and around hollywood, and despite involving a bullion heist and lots of minis, ears little relationship to the original. Anyway about the actual game now. Developer Climax has fashioned out one of the toughest yet strangely compulsive driving games yet. When you play a film based game you at least expect a bit of incorporated footage, maybe a few actors from the film leading themselves to the voice-overs. You get none of this here. As a result the game pans out in an unspectacular fashion. ... Read the complete review

Okay, here is some things to do before playing this game: 1) Kiss goodbye to your friends, family and girlfriend. Why should you do that? Because the Italian job is the best game ever for the PSone. Playing as Charlie Croker and his gang, you speed around in Land Rovers, Mini-vans, sports cars and the famous mini-coopers around a sixties London and Turin. This game plays similar to DRIVER 1 which is good as it has the same graphics. The missions always start with a breifing and then you just follow the arrow to the destination before the timer runs out. Instead of having the cops ram you or shoot your tyres, if the cops get too close they'll ... Read the complete review

The Italian Job has an awesome reputation with its film, but now, the eagerly awaited game was released in October 2001. Its two massive cities have tonnes to do in free ride mode, as you can be chased by police (with their extremely annoying siren) in London, or you can be bashed about by the not so friendly boys of the Mafia in Turin. This game takes after the film, with the line of mini’s trying to steal £4,000,000 from the guys in Turin. Many of the features in the game are taken from the film, like the Fiat Factory in Turin, which took place to one of the most famous of the rooftop jumps over Turin. Also, the Swiss Alps level, with the truck with ... Read the complete review
