Advantages: being able to ride the rides

Disadvantages: a little repetitive

Theme Park World is a highly addictive, strategic, niggly little game. You are the potential owner of many theme parks and surprisingly enough the aim of the game is to make money.

Along with many other games which are based around creating your own mini civilisation(Hospitals, towns, the list is endless) the real delight in Theme Park world are the little details. There are many worlds to choose from - ranging in theme from Dinosaurs to the space age although you do not have automatic access. This access is obtained by gaining golden tickets, in a variety of ways - whether it be from making money or making sure the guards in the parks have enoug security cameras. Whilst in these worlds you can build rides, shops, interesting features(a personal favourite of my is the Mammoth Fountain), hire various workers and generally make sure things run smoothly. You have the option to research new items and to take out loans if things really don't go your way.

The rides are probably the best part, although constructing rollercoasters can be very frustrating as unless you spend a lot of time tweaking the pylons, people are gonna find you ride boring.

Probably the best feature of this game is when you make it 3d and get to go round the theme park yourself. Going on the rides is especially thrilling - particularly if you've done all the tweaking that I spoke of earlier!

The only bad points is that this game can get a little repetitive - for example there are at least two worlds based around the theme of dinosaurs, and it can be a little frustrating too, as it can take a good while before you discover how to obtain 'hidden' golden tickets. Although I suppose if it was that easy no one would want to bother!

Generally this is a really good game, with wonderful little graphics, best done in long bouts after periods of non-playing.
