Theme Park Format: Playstation ~ Why? ~ I had this game when it first came out and considering it was one of the first games ever out on the original Playstation it must of been about 6 or 7 years a go that I brought this. Anyway the sudden playing of the game again is due to me changing rooms I have had to move everything and I found this under my bed so I put it on my Playstation 2 now and loaded it up. ~ First Impressions ~ I didn?t expect much from it being as old as it is, but then again it was not a game based on graphics. The fact that it came on a Playstation ... Read the complete review

I remember playing Roller Coaster Tycoon some months ago and thinking "this game would be perfect if only you could actually ride the coasters you build." Well what do you know, along comes Theme Park, which promises exactly that. So is it perfect? Not really. Here's why. When I played RollerCoaster Tycoon, I got a sense that I was building a sprawling theme park across hundreds of acres of rolling hills and sparkling lakes - like a Six Flags or Disney World. Theme Park makes me feel like I'm building a local amusement park in an abandoned parking lot. It completely lacks any sense of grandeur and size. It allows for no changes in elevation except ... What can I say about this marvellous game except that it's, well, marvellous! It's the original and best. I'm hopeless with computer games but this, like it's fab relation Theme Hospital, is addictive, easy to handle and entertaining. You can choose from a variety of levels to start from and how many computer competitors you would like to play against. This is really handy if you have no clue where to start (like me when I first played!). A nice feature of the pc version of the game is the facility to vitually 'ride' a few of the fairground attractions. Many of the rides and sideshows featured, though, don't allow this. I was looking ... Read the complete review

The main aim of theme park is to run and manage a theme park - obvious really isn't it? You start of with a park, dding rides, a bouncy castle, the ghost house, tree house, then some food outlets! You open the park, employ staff, and wait for the bucks to start rolling in! The first goe will turn out a mess! A few trials will be needed, before you master the perfect park. After every "year" you get a new ride or 2, new food outlets, new toilets, and so on. Eventually, after so long, there is no more to get. When you have played this several times and you build the park up to full, that is it really, ... Read the complete review

I bought this game about 5 years ago for my PC and I have never grown tired of it. The aim of the game is to take control of your own Theme Park and maintain it. You start the game with just a plot of land with nothing on it. Then using the icons all located at the bottom of the screen you begin to build. When you first start there are very few shops and rides but as you progress through the game you gain more and more. The quicker you want to gain them, the more you have to invest in research. The game has loads of different rides to choose from including roller coasters, pirate ships, ghost trains etc. To make your park look pretty there are a variety of water features ...
