For anyone who missed out on the Thief series, the basic premise is simple enough to understand. You're a thief. Hence the title, I guess. This fact is central to the game, in fact, as the emphasis is on sneaking around and avoiding detection, rather than being able to charge into a room and kick butt. This is going to disappoint some people, but its a refreshing change, and leads to real tension when you're trying to creep past a guard and get through a doorway without him spotting you and raising the alarm. Stop! THIEF!!! or in this games case, run for your life. Set in an eerie techno-fantasy land, you'll want to turn the gamma (brightness) right down. Crawl, creep, steal, bludgeon... all what you'd expect from a master criminal. Then theres the added bonus of very few zombies. The original game was littered with the little blighters. The sword, muahahahhaha, loadsa fun. You can always knock people out with the blackjack. BUT make sure you stay in the dark and watch where you step... if your visibility crystal is too bright, then people can see you and usually that implies your already dead, or very soon going to be.
