Advantages: Good arcade action
Disadvantages: no longevity
Time Crisis is one of the few good games you can buy where you get to use that lightgun you got for Christmas without a game to play it.
The graphics although not brilliant, suit the game and the action it provides. You take control of one of two characters (you can have two players in the game but you will need two lightguns). You will be thrust into enemy situations where you must blast all manner of human enemy. These enemies will be able to attack you with their weapons such as guns and bombs. You must protect your self by hiding, reloading and attacking at the right time. You don't have control of where your character moves, this is set in stone. But you can attack when you want and hide away when you want.
Its great when you take out a few enemies, it really feels like your blowing them away as you fire, hit and they fly backwards.
Enemies come at different levels of difficulty. There are various stages through the game and you will meet a variety of bosses all with their own style and weaponry.
The game is quite difficult since your lives are limited and you lose lives for hitting civilians for example.
However, I am confident that you will find this game very enjoyable and playable.
Summary: worth a go
