Tomb Raider II follows on from the success of Tomb Raider I. The plot is lacking and the concept is very original. The game doesn't have a very good storyline, it is just a mixture of lever pulling, knob cranking, button pushing and sporadic pointless shooting. The graphics are ok but it is occasionaly quirky. Not exactly everybody's cup of tea. It is an improvement on Tomb Raider I (graphics and gameplay) but thats not exactly saying much. This game isnt bad if you like pointless, unrealistic violence where it takes 10 blasts of a shotgun to kill a rabid monkey?! Lovely Lara is definitely a major plus point! If you get stuck at any point during the game there is not much motivation to play until 1am trying to solve the puzzle. The option that allows you to save at any point of play is very useful as if you do progress you can save it and not worry too much about dying! Jumping from ledge to ledge isnt the most exhilirating fun but if you like that sort of thing then this game is your sort of thing. The best bit of the game apart from the weapons which you can discharge at an amazing rate is the vehicles that at various points in the game you can take control of. I wouldnt buy it. Tomb Raider 3, or 4 are a better buy.
