Advantages: A must for any Bond fan

Disadvantages: Quite easy

Well the though of being Bond appeals to most. The thought of running around shooting bad guys, skiing down big hills and racing about in a beamer is all very well but what is the game like.

Unlike Goldeneye for the N64 you get to see Bond all the time. This in my opinion is a good thing since you move away from Doom like gameplay to Tomb Raider like gameplay. The character is well animated and looks very very slightly like Pierce Brosnan but the voice is almost comical. Not only doesn't sound like pierce but doesn't talk the way a 007 agent would. The weapons he gets to use are wide and varied all of which are great for certain situations. The sniper sight etc are very good touches.

The levels are well designed and there is a lot of detail but they are very easy. There are too many oportunities to get medipacks and ammo so killing all the bad guys while staying alive is way too easy. There are a lot of good elements to the levels like having a couple of skiing sections to make a differnce from just running about. There is also a bit where you can have a go in the BMW firing guns and missiles in all that lies in your path.

The bad guys are well animated too but are too easy to kill making the game overall slighly too easy. The only bad guy I have encountered so far that takes a bit of killing is Dr Kaufman where you must shoot him 100 times which may sound hard but he doesn't shoot back. This makes it a bit disappointing. The main bad guy characters do look like the film version slighlty but at least you can guess who they are meant to be.

One advantage Tomorrow Never Dies has over Goldeneye is the fact that Video sequences can be included. This makes the presentation and plot of the game easy top follow as clips from the actual film are included.

Overall this is a very entertaing game for a Bond fan but you must expect to be able to complete it because it is quite easy. This doesn't reduce the enjoym
ent level because when you are running and shooting your Walther with the Bond tune in the backgroung it is great fun.
