Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 (PS)

This is my favourite game in the seris of tony hawk. It has improved on the third one with better graphics and also with a new story line mode. The game has some new moves and new environments to play through. The sound track is as good as ever, with many track which will rock your socks off while you play through the game. The gameplay is comprised of talking to characters in the game and they will give you tasks to do. Most of them have a time limit to do them in, which makes them harder as they go on. The fourth skater game in the series features more stunts, tricks, skaters, levels, moves and features than any of the other games before it. You can fully customise your skater with clothes and the board that they use. You can change the wheels, deck, colours etc. There are various different modes of play that you can participate in such as the single player career mode. This mode allows you to go through many different levels improving your skills by completing missions and gaining points that you can convert into stat points to increase your abilities. With the arrival of the third instalment in the series at the end of 2001, the Pro Skater franchise really hit the big time. The game appeared on several formats, recieved great critical acclaim and sold hundreds of thousands of copies in the U.K alone. It was extremely impressive - the levels were bold, the action was addictive and the new revert trick added a whole new dimension to proceedings.
