If you thought the battle system in the Final Fantasy games was rigid u should play this. But like Final Fantasy it is just as fun and makes up for the rigidity of the battle by the amazing storyline and range of weapons that make every persons characters their own.

The story begins when you are a peasent boy in a small village. You have friends one of whom is a very beautiful young royal whom you secretly love (aaawww). One day a strange fugitive appears and seeks refuge in the town. You befriend him and are shocked and appalled when he is thrown from the village and decide to go after him.

While this is going on you are introduced to a sorceror who is an advisor to the lord of your town, the political situation and the tensions that are bringing the country to the brink of war. Once you catch up to the fugative you find out that he is indeed the heir to the throne of your country and is going to start the war that will split the country for decades.

After this you are accused of falsely murdering the grandfather of your beloved (aaawww again) and have to flee the town vowing to return, set things right and rescue the girl. THEN the story really begins. It is an amazing game that throws twists and turns in the story at you from every angle and you begin to care about what you are fighting for.

Very little else needs to be said, i have completed the game many times and continue to play it and have had months of fun. The difficulty level is not too intense either but still gives you a challenge. If you played the first game, and i did, then this is more of the same and i am thankful for it.
