Advantages: The sound is ok

I can't beleive the rating on this game on dooyoo so I had to come on to right a wrong, of course this is all about opinion and stuff but this game having 4 stars is blinkering peoples view. i'm a huge wrestling fan and i've played every wrestling game thats been out in the past 10-15 years. And never have I seen a poorer effort come down the pipeline than WCW Backstage Assault.

The first thing you think of when you think Wrestling, is a ring. Well you ain't gonna find one here, in a bold and quite idiotic move, the developers of this game thought it would be a good idea to have all the matches take place backstage. Ok I could live with that if the game was any good.

The gameplay is really poor with horrible animation glitches and it's really awkward to try and pull off the moves. It's based loosely on a grapple system but to say it's unresponsive would be a major understatement.

Compared to other wrestling games the roster is pretty thin, sure they have the biggest names at the time but not the usual for a wrestling game of this time period. So you control a bad looking wrestler in a dodgy looking backstage environment which is supposed to interactive but really isn't. And thats it, sure theres weapons you can use but the games 'appeal' wears off very quickly.

I can't recommend this game and the best I could say about it is that the sound is good in it. Thumbs in the sand!
